Dear friends, family & neighbors of Laura, You probably already know that our beloved, Laura, was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and is in the late stage of the disease. After weeks of grueling tests, she has begun chemotherapy. While she is in very good hands – surrounded by the best medical team and more love than even she realizes, this is, however, going to be a season. Not a bad weekend, not a rough month – a season. Treatment is long, and the early stretch is humbling in ways that are hard to anticipate. Laura is meeting it with the same steadiness she brings to everything else, and the rest of us get the easier job of showing up. That's where you come in…We've set up a Give In Kind page with concrete, low-stakes ways to help: a meal dropped off, groceries delivered, errands run, an hour of light tidying on the days when washing a dish or folding laundry feels like a personal affront. Nothing is too small. All of it adds up to a friend who doesn't have to think about dinner, which on certain days is the whole game.
