This week we mourn the passing of 12 year old Jordan Sims, from the devastating floods that swept through our area. He was such a vibrant, joyful soul who was taken far too soon. Jordan is survived by his loving grandmother (mawmaw), Ann Lamb. He is also survived by his devoted older sister, 2 younger brothers and his mother, as well as a large and close-knit family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who adored him deeply and are now left with an unfillable hole in their hearts. We have been so touched by the number of friends and family who have helped and still want to help. We wanted to set this meal train up for Ann and her family to help take the stress of planning and executing dinners off of them, by providing a few meals a week, as they continue to grieve the loss of their loved one. Crozet Seafood Supply has generously offered to be the "drop off" location for these meals. They are located in Crozet (across from Harris Teeter) at 375 Four Leaf Lane Unit 101, Charlottesville VA 22903. You can drop off these meals anytime between 2:00 - 5:30. They said they have refrigerators that we can use to store the food. If you are bringing it "hot" then maybe try to drop off closer to 5-5:30pm if possible. (Please note that Crozet Seafood Supply closes at 6pm on these days) Someone will pick this food up for them around 5:30/5:45pm to deliver to Ann and her family. If you are able to help, we greatly appreciate your kindness. You are also able to send them electronic grocery gift cards, as well as gift cards to restaurants, if that might be easier.
