After a last-minute scheduling plot twist postponed my surgery, we're officially back on the calendar. On Tuesday, August 25th at 7:30am, I'll be having lumbar spine surgery with Dr. Dumont, and if all goes as planned, this should finally be the beginning of the end of four years of back pain and sciatica. Recovery means I'll be taking things very slowly for a while. NO bending, lifting, twisting, or pretending I can "just do it myself." If you know me, you know that last one might be the hardest part. So many of you have reached out asking how you can help, and the answer is: this! Whether it's dropping off dinner, picking up Francis from school, hanging out with her for an hour, running a quick errand, or just stopping by to say hello, every little act of kindness helps our family more than you know. Please don't feel any pressure to sign up. Your friendship, encouragement, and good thoughts have already carried us through so much. This page is simply an easy way to coordinate for anyone who'd like to be part of Team Recovery. Thank you for helping me get back on my feet. I can't wait to see everyone on the other side of this, with a happier spine and a lot less ibuprofen.

We're not picky eaters, but if you'd rather Renée not make an unexpected return trip to the ER, please keep the shellfish at bay. -If you're dropping something off, our door is always open, the one behind the house! Just give a holler when you get here. I'll probably be hiding in the bedroom with the A/C cranked up. - Francis is always up for an adventure! Her favorite place to spend an afternoon is Barrel Springs. If there's no lightning, she'll happily swim while you relax under the umbrella and keep her company. -Funny texts, memes, and short visits are always welcome. Laughter is excellent physical therapy. -Most of all, please know there's absolutely no expectation. Just knowing you're a friend to us means the world. Thank you for being our village.
