Help Dashawn Get the Testing He Needs for EoE

Story

Our sweet boy Dashawn has been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), a chronic condition that causes inflammation in the esophagus and can make eating painful and difficult. Right now he is on medication, but the only way doctors can confirm if the treatment is working is through a repeat endoscopy. Unfortunately, we recently learned that Dashawn does not qualify for Medicaid and the charity program we were hoping would help does not cover our county. The hospital has quoted the endoscopy at $22,000 and requires an $11,000 down payment before the procedure can be scheduled. On top of that, Dashawn also needs to see an allergist to test for environmental allergies that could be contributing to his EoE, which is estimated around $1,500. Like most families, we simply were not prepared for medical costs at this level. Our only goal is to make sure Dashawn receives the care he needs so doctors can properly monitor and treat his condition. If you feel led to donate or share this fundraiser, we would be incredibly grateful. Even sharing this post helps more than we can express. Thank you for supporting our family and helping us take care of our little boy.
