What started as an offhand comment from a friend about genetic testing and ancestry rapidly led to life-changing news for Molly; a positive BRCA gene result, followed shortly after by a diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer. This diagnosis has been a devastating shock to their family. Molly is preparing for surgery and treatment and will be out of work for a period of time as she focuses on her health and recovery. Molly and her husband Steve are both paramedics, who have dedicated their lives to helping others in need.
