It is with heavy hearts that we share that Arturo, a bright, kind, and athletic 12-year-old, has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. This news has been devastating to his family, friends, soccer club and all of us who know and love him. Arturo is a 7th grader at EVMS, a beloved son, brother, and a dedicated teammate. He’s always been the kind of kid who lifts others up—on and off the field. His determination, quick smile, and generous spirit have touched many in our community. He is currently hospitalized in Denver and undergoing treatment, which will be a long and challenging journey. His family is doing everything they can to support him, but they need our help—emotionally, physically, and financially.
