The Naisang Family has always shown up for their community and friends in times of need. Now it is our turn! The Naisang family is going through an incredibly difficult time. Their son, Canyon, recently underwent brain surgery to remove a large AVM (arteriovenous malformation) near the vision center of his brain. The procedure was meant to be done in two parts, however, during the second surgery, there was a major rupture. What should have taken 6 hours turned into an over 12 hour event. Canyon required a massive blood transfusion, brain drains, and part of his skull was left off due to severe swelling. Against the odds, Canyon pulled through. He opened his eyes and gave his parents a faint thumbs up—an emotional moment that gave everyone hope. He is now at home but the journey of recovery has just started - he’s still weak, rebuilding strength, and his vision remains a major concern.
