This page was created in an effort to support our dear sweet Aidan and his family through his cancer journey. With this life changing diagnosis, there is much we can all do to help. About three weeks ago, Aidan stared complaining of hip pain. The pain escalated to limping and pain to the touch. His parents took him to the ER where an X-ray revealed nothing. A few days later, with pain escalating, Aidan’s parents took him to the Dr. He immediately called for a MRI and an overnight hospital stay. The MRI revealed all our worst thoughts — a tumor wrapped around his kidney and spine, and another spot on his pancreas. A handful of procedures under general anesthesia later, Aidan is diagnosed with Stage 3 Burkitt’s Lymphona. A rare and aggressive cancer. The good news is it is historically very receptive to treatment and the prognosis is positive.
