You may or may not know, but Tori’s mom is currently facing the hardest fight of her life, cancer. She is now home on hospice, surrounded by the people who love her most. And right now, Tori’s time is exactly where it should be with her mom, soaking in every moment that she can, and taking care of Hensley in the middle of it all. During a time like this, the everyday things don’t stop. Kids still need fed. Dinner still has to be figured out. Groceries still have to be bought. And when your heart and mind are already carrying something this heavy, even deciding what to eat can feel like one more thing you just don’t have the energy for. So I’d love for us to come together and take one small thing off Tori’s plate…or really, add something to it. I’m putting together a meal train for Tori and her family feeding approximately 6 people. Whether it’s a DoorDash gift card, a gift card to a local restaurant, dropping off a meal, or simply helping cover dinner one evening every little bit helps. There is truly no amount too small. One meal means one less decision. One less trip to the store. One less thing to cook. One less thing to clean up. Most importantly, it gives Tori a little more time to simply be a daughter, and to be present with her mom. Let’s wrap this family in as much love as we can and help carry a tiny piece of the load while they walk through something no family is ever prepared for.
