On August 26th Rachelle fractured her spinal cord leaving her paralyzed from the chest down. On August 28th she underwent an invasive and complicated surgery to fuse her c6 and c7 vertebrae. Since then she has been released from the hospital into the care of her daughter despite still being paralyzed. We have acquired a wheel chair, shower chair, bedside camode and walker for her, all to aide in her recovery. Rachelle is a very independent woman and this is very hard for her. She has served her community of dresden for years as a firefighter/emt and served Zanesville for years as well as a tech in genesis emergency department. We are reaching out now for help as we navigate this troubling time and help her get on her way to recovery. We are greatful for any help we receive.
