Caregiver that needs help, please read. Thank you

W
Story

I am writing to humbly request financial assistance. I am a 39-year-old full-time worker facing an overwhelming, multi-generational caregiving crisis that has left me financially, emotionally, and physically depleted. I am currently drowning under the compounding costs of medical needs, travel, and basic survival, and I cannot do this alone anymore. I work full-time plus mandated overtime, but my entire income is being swallowed by the severe medical crises of four family members whom I am trying to support: • My Mother: Lives with Spina Bifida and severe chronic pain. • My Stepfather: In a rapid health decline to the point where he requires constant physical assistance throughout the day. • My Grandmother: Terminally ill with cancer. • My Grandfather: Currently in a memory care facility with dementia Because my family members are spread out across different care settings and homes, the sheer cost of gas to commute between them and my workplace has completely broken my budget. Furthermore, I am battling my own serious, chronic health problems. Between the brutal physical strain of my mandated overtime, the exhausting hours of physical caregiving, and the lack of financial resources to take care of myself, my medical issues are rapidly catching up with me. I am working as hard as humanly possible, but the mathematics of my situation do not work. I am in desperate need of any financial grants, emergency stipends, gas/utility assistance, or caregiver relief funds your organization can provide to help me stabilize. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for recognizing the invisible crisis that family caregivers face, and for considering my application for financial support. Sincerely, Michael James
