February 27th our lives changed forever. I took Mike to the ER, thinking he had pulled a muscle or tore a ligament. The doctors told us that wasn't the case. Mike had kidney cancer. The cancer spread to his lungs and his bones. The left femur had to be reinforced with a rod. Our days have been spent in physical therapy and doctors offices. He had a week of radiation treatments that set his physical therapy back.The doctors have removed his right kidney. He will begin immunotherapy soon. He is home now, but neither of us have been able to work since 2/24/2023.
