Support for Gerardo

W
Story

For years, Gerardo has been the heart of Monte Vista Elementary School. As the Plant Lead, he did far more than care for the campus, he cared for every single person who walked through its doors. Gerardo knew every student by name. He greeted children with kindness, made teachers feel supported, and treated the school grounds as if they were his own home. No matter the task, no matter the time, Gerardo was always the first to step up and help anyone who needed him. His dedication, work ethic, and compassion have touched countless lives in our school community. This week, Gerardo had surgery to remove as much of the cancer from his prostate as possible. They will go back next week to make sure that they got it all. As he focuses on treatment and recovery, we want to come together and support him the same way he has supported so many of us over the years. Any help, whether through donations, sharing this message, or just words of encouragement, would mean the world to Gerardo and his family during this difficult time. Gerardo has spent years taking care of our community. Now it’s our turn to take care of him. Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
