Jillian Kuschel-Swadley and family support

Jefferson City, MO

Story

Jill is expecting her third daughter and is currently 22 weeks along. However, recent lab results have revealed that she is experiencing liver failure and can expect to not see her next birthday in October unless something changes and treatments begin to work. With her being pregnant, it is a very precarious situation. She has been told she has to terminate the pregnancy to save her life, but she feels deeply attached to her unborn daughter and is choosing to save her baby's life at the risk of her own. She also has two young daughters at home— a 17 month old and a 7 month old. They are being cared for by our parents along with her husband. However, our parents are in their 60s and 70s and unfortunately cannot keep up as well as they would like to. Jill's husband, Nathan, is trying to balance taking care of his wife, his daughters, and working full time. For Jill's treatment, we are having to make multiple trips up to Jefferson City to a hospital that can treat her. She cannot drive in her condition, and has to be taken to these appointments multiple times a week. We greatly appreciate your prayers and support during this time. Thank you for your kind words, and we hope that Jill can respond to treatment.

Special Notes

Jill is allergic to shellfish, and needs to eat a somewhat low-grease and pepper/spice diet at this time.
