For those who had the pleasure of knowing my father, you’ll remember his passion for fueling others with love through food—especially his delicious Cuban dishes and seafood pasta. Many of you have asked how you can support us, and one of the greatest gifts right now is helping with a few meals as we adjust to our new normal without him here. My dad had a strength unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed. He endured renal disease, multiple strokes over the past two and a half years, and serious infections that eventually led to the amputation of his legs. Yet, even in his final days, he never lost his spirit—he kept telling stories and making jokes. We will miss him tremendously, and his loss leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled.
