Support for Mellissa and Zoya Keys

Lovely little Jacob Keys who isn’t yet a month old had to be flown to Payton Manning Children’s hospital in Indianapolis on April 19th due to a 103 degree fever accompanied by a 220bpm heart rate. Three days later (04/22) and lots of testing later what we know is that poor Jacob was born with only one kidney and it’s been in overdrive fighting an infection caused by E. Coli which they’ve found both in his urine and bloodstream. Additionally there is a blockage in his urethra causing fluids to back up into his kidney. He will be getting sedated today to undergo an emergency surgery to place a temporary tube to hopefully pass the blockage. This surgery is obviously very invasive for anyone but especially for his little body as the PICC line they tried to place failed because his veins are too little and weak so instead they’ll be placing a line directly to his heart through his neck for the surgery. Hopefully this all works because dialysis is the backup plan if all else fails. And with all this going on, Jacob tested positive for COVID. What a terrible situation to be in all around. Baby Jacob has had a rough couple of days. He’s swollen, pale, in pain, lacking good sleep and can’t even feed off of momma right now. He’s eating through a feeding tube. Mellissa and Zoya have 2 other children at home being taken care of by family currently. David who is 5 years old and Jesse who is 3 years old. So we kindly ask that you please sign up to bring them a meal, have one delivered, or donate funds to them as they have a long couple of weeks still ahead of them.
