As a community, many of us have asked how we can help support the Bustos family during this incredibly difficult and overwhelming time. After recently sharing her cancer diagnosis and beginning the process of additional testing, appointments, and next steps, Hanna is also caring for her husband as he recovers from recent spine surgery, all while continuing to love and care for their five beautiful children. With her husband — who is normally her biggest support system — currently focused on his own recovery, even their oldest child has lovingly stepped in to help care for siblings and support the family through day-to-day responsibilities. It is a reminder of how much this family is carrying all at once during a time when Hanna should be able to focus fully on her own health and healing. This meal train was created simply as a way for friends, family, and members of our SKS community to help lighten even a small part of the daily load during this season. Please note this is completely voluntary and is not organized, sponsored, or led by SKS or the HSA. It is purely a community-led effort created with love and support for the Bustos family during this time. Above all, we continue to keep the entire family in our prayers and hope they feel surrounded by the strength, faith, and care of the community standing beside them.
The Bustos family is pretty open when it comes to meals and is simply trying to eat as healthy as possible during this season. They typically avoid fried foods, othet than that, the family does not have any food allergies and truly appreciates any meal, support, and love being extended to them during this time. 🤍 No Chipotle
