I recently found out that someone in my daily sphere of life is going through a temporary tough time- as she comes back from maternity leave her husband has suffered an injury, and this leaves her the sole provider for multiple children. Two of them are under 3 years of age. When she told me that she had to go to the food bank and that they were living on canned food I had to take action and I know that my friends and strangers and neighbors will help support them during this brief time until she makes her first paychecks at her new job. This is the type of family that would stop if there was an accident I make sure everyone was okay and I want to do the same. These are the Fred Rogers type of people that feel good to support. Thank you for being a good neighbor by contributing a home-cooked meal which you can bring to my work and I can deliver it to them, or contributing any Pantry items or refrigerated items toward the next few weeks. Not everybody is surrounded by a village or has family left and so I want us to be their village now.
