Hello cherished friends. Christy and her family are deeply loved by this community as they continue to navigate Christy's journey with cancer. As her treatment journey transitions, we’re coming together to support the Hartigan family with meals and everyday care. Cooking is no longer possible in the house due to strong smells triggering nausea for Christy. So, this meal train is for their family of 6. The family will be able to heat up the food in their downstairs kitchen to avoid smells of food from traveling throughout the house. Christy's nutrition is managed carefully already. This page also honors the healing power connection — reminders that they are not walking this path alone. Weaving this field of community support together can be something we all get to enjoy.
Drop off address: 700 Lion Point Boulder CO 80302 Organizing point of contact: Kiley's boyfriend, Jay, is the point of contact for logistics for most things on this platform. Somethings have Kiley as the point of contact, and those will be specified clearly. For clarification questions, contact him. Jay's phone number: 6517464646 Jay's email: [email protected] Very important: Please do not participate in cooking if you or someone in your household is sick (even a little bit sick). Wait till you all are healthy again before participating. There are no dietary restrictions, other than a general preference for healthy, whole foods that are mindfully sourced. Simply select a day and time below that works for your schedule. You are invited to drop off at your convenience that day between 10am-7pm. When you drop off food, please drop it off quietly in one of the yeti coolers on the back porch. Please do not ring the doorbell or knock. It's unpredictable whether Christy or someone from the family will be able to share time with you. And, they all appreciate and love this community so much, so it's also likely they will certainly love to do so if they can. Other forms of support that do not involve cooking: 1. Flowers and cards are welcomed gifts. They bring joy and smiles every time. You do not need to contact anyone before sending/dropping off. You can drop them off at any time. 2. Grocery Staples (point of contact is Kiley): If you have an iPhone, you can check this list to see what we need at any given time. We'll do our best to update it regularly. https://www.icloud.com/notes/05akAq1j4rClZ9RphOn2_gqlw#Family_groceries 3. Paint by numbers kits (point of contact is Kiley). It's possible to get customized photos converted into paint by numbers kits, which add an extra, special personal element to the activity. Kiley can send you sweet family photos to use. For the following, the point of contact is Jay. Send him a text letting him know you're doing it, use his email if needed. 1. Gift cards to restaurants in Boulder. This can be for an amount for one or more people. 2. Gift cards to Rebecca's apothecary - we love having nourishing teas, oils, and herbs on hand for our emotional and physical well being. 3. Gift card to this place specifically for an emotional catharsis outlet. It's a "rage room" in Denver where you get to go smash and destroy sh*t. https://www.alloutsmash.com 4. Puzzles. Especially Liberty Puzzles. These can be either shipped or dropped off at that house. https://libertypuzzles.com/er 5. Gift cards to yoga studios or massage studios in Boulder. We have also added Christy's Venmo (@CiCiHart6) to the right hand side of the main page, where you can make a financial contribution. Below are things we'd apply those funds towards. 1. In-home nursing care, refilling medication and medical equipment, insurance copays, and alternative healing sessions with acupuncturists/reiki practitioners/etc. 2. Supporting the family members with costs associated to their caring for their own mental and physical health. We will update this list as we learn. Finally, we welcome any of your ideas for support. Don't hesitate to reach out to Jay or Kiley with ideas!
