Adrianna’s Recovery Village

W
Story

Stage IV ovarian cancer was definitely not on my 2026 bingo card — but here we are. This year has been full of chemo, appointments, unexpected turns, and learning just how much it really does take a village. Now I’m getting ready for major surgery in October, and one thing I know for sure is that nothing hits like comfort food when you’re going through something. Right now, I am absolutely loving soul food, peach cobbler, caramel cake… basically the kind of food that feels like somebody’s auntie loves you. 😂 As I prepare for surgery and recovery, I’d love to start stocking my freezer a couple of weeks ahead of time so meals are one less thing to think about when I come home. Whether you prepare a meal, send a restaurant gift card, or simply send some love my way, I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you for being part of my village and helping take care of me during this season.

Special Notes

Please no pork or shellfish. Meals that freeze well are especially appreciated. Please label homemade meals with the name of the dish and date prepared. Thank you for helping us keep things simple as I prepare for surgery and recovery.
