My name is MOSES BALUKU and I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Tourism, Travel, and Hospitality Management program at Mountains of the Moon University in Western Uganda. I commenced my studies in 2019, Registration Number 2019/U/MMU/BTTH/013 and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for financial assistance to support my education. Up until the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had been diligently funding my education through a small restaurant and takeaway business. However, the unforeseen economic challenges resulting from the pandemic led to the loss of my small business due to the economic crisis during and after the COVID-19 crisis, making it increasingly difficult for me to meet the financial demands of my tuition fees. I regret to inform you that I had to apply for and was granted three dead years one after the other in an attempt to navigate the financial difficulties brought about by the pandemic. While these dead years provided temporary relief, the reality is that time is running out for me to resume my studies and complete my degree. My sincere desire is to rejoin my course in 2024, but my financial constraints pose a significant obstacle to achieving this goal. I am writing to humbly request any form of financial assistance that may be available because I am committed to completing my degree and contributing positively to my community and the tourism and hospitality industry at large. Your support will not only enable me to continue my education but will also contribute to the development of my community through the skills and knowledge gained during my studies.
