As many of you know, Denise has been courageously fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She was re-admitted to Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital on 12/12/25 and had her Bone Marrow transplant on 12/18/25. She’s had a slightly bumpier road this time around but she is incredibly strong and I’m so happy to announce that she is coming home 12 days earlier than expected!!! She’s a rockstar!!! 🧡 Her Doctors have told her that it’ll be a good 3 months before she can drive, cook, or clean due to risk of infection and until she can build up her strength. It’s because of this long road ahead, that we are setting up this meal train to help her and her family get through this next phase of recovery. The meal train is for either a home cooked meal or a gift card to any local restaurant. For home cooked meals, post-transplant precautions including meals freshly prepared, fully cooked (especially meat), and easy to reheat are especially helpful. As always, please use good hand washing techniques because she is susceptible to bacterial infections. Thank you to everyone for your support, it means the world to us!! 🧡
