Meal Train and More for Mike and Family

Ballwin, MO

Story

Mike had a stroke on Saturday afternoon while driving with his family, which was pretty scary for everyone. Right now, he’s at Mercy and is stable, making great progress in his recovery.
His main challenges are with language/communication and higher cognition, and more tests and evals are being done to figure things out. Most of the upcoming tests to help understand why this happened to someone so young.
The good news is that the doctors are optimistic! They believe Mike will be able to come home soon and do intensive outpatient therapy instead of going to a rehab facility.
Everyone is grateful for the progress he’s made so far and is hopeful for what’s ahead.

Special Notes

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the outpouring of love and support. There are truly no words to express our gratitude. We are humbled by the generosity and have been consoled by each and every prayer offered. Every gesture and act of service coming from our friends and family reminds us that we remain constantly under God's care. Some people have asked about helping provide us with home cleaning services, we already have a company that we have used in the past and trust and will graciously accept Venmo (@the-mcbrides) to help cover extra services over the next couple of months. WIth grateful hearts and the continued pursuit of hope in all things, Becky, Mike, and the kids
