Dear family, friends, and community, We started this page on behalf of Jordan, whose life changed suddenly with the unexpected passing of his partner, Derek Terry. Jordan is trying to process an unimaginable loss while also handling everything that life continues to demand. He has unexpectedly had to make the decision to move from their home, take on the portion of the household expenses that Derek had been providing, come up with rent and other immediate bills, and prepare for surgery later this month. Grief alone is heavy. Having to manage a move, increased financial responsibility, and his health at the same time has made this moment even more overwhelming. This is one of those times when community matters most. We started this page to surround Jordan with the love and support he needs right now. Our hope is to ease some of the immediate pressure so he can focus on grieving, healing, and recovering from surgery without carrying all of this alone.
