Team Jennifer's Table

Coupeville, WA

Story

Jennifer has been diagnosed with aggressive melanoma on her left nostril. She will undergo the first of three surgeries on Thursday, February 12th. This initial procedure will remove approximately one inch of tissue around the affected area, resulting in significant tissue loss on her nose. A surgical bandage will be sewn in place to cover the area until her second surgery, which is scheduled for about 2½ weeks later. The third surgery will follow 2-4 weeks after that. Her doctors will perform lymph node mapping and a biopsy during this process. While Jennifer's children will be helping with her care and transportation to medical appointments, we'd like to organize a meal train to ease their burden during this challenging time.

Special Notes

There are no dietary needs except for NO TOMATOES. Some things Jennifer will need to limit are frozen dinners, mashed potatoes, chips, refined grains and breads, large quantities of meat, cheese, or peanut butter, along with bananas. She needs to limit caffeine, pastries, rich cakes, candy, and concentrated sweets.
