Rallying for Rob De Leon: A Life of Devotion, Now a Fight for His Live

Highlands Ranch, CO

Story

If you know Rob DeLeon, then you know the kind of man he is. He’s a giver through and through—a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a talented musician who’s brought joy to countless lives. Whether with a guitar in his hands, a joke at the right time, or an offer to help before you even asked—Rob’s presence is steady, humble, and kind. Now, Rob is facing his greatest challenge yet: a diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. How It Started In late May 2025, during a camping trip near the Grand Canyon, Rob started getting sick. We assumed it was a short-term issue—bad water or camping food. But by June 8, Rob was unable to eat or keep anything down. A CT scan at Urgent Care revealed a mass between his small intestine and colon. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. A colonoscopy confirmed it was cancer. On June 11, Rob underwent emergency colorectal surgery to remove: • The tumor • A section of his colon and small intestine • His appendix • Several lymph nodes At first, we were told it was Stage 3. We were stunned, but hopeful. In late July, additional testing—PET scan and Signatera bloodwork—revealed the cancer had spread to: • Lymph nodes throughout his abdomen • Two tumors in his liver That brought the diagnosis to Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. The average life expectancy? 2–3 years. We’re not okay with that. ⸻ Why We’re Asking for Help This is now a fight to give Rob time—time with his family, time to heal, time to live. Rob and I are both small business owners. Every appointment, scan, treatment, recovery day, and ER visit takes a toll on our finances. Despite our best efforts to keep working and serving clients through it all, there are days when Rob’s body simply needs rest. We’re pursuing every option to give Rob the strongest chance at recovery: Chemotherapy Targeted supplements Nutrition therapy Energy and immune-support treatments Time off when his body needs it Whether you’re nearby or across the country, here’s how you can help: • Send a DoorDash or Instacart Gift Card: While going through chemo and helping Rob's body fight cancer, we are using nutrition as a balance to keep his body as healthy as possible and boost his immune system. • Offer Financial Support: Both Rob and I are self-employed. The costs of surgery, treatments, supplements, scans, and missed workdays add up quickly. Donations help cover medical bills and allow Rob to rest when needed without the financial stress. •Share a Message or Memory: Notes of encouragement, favorite stories, and messages of love mean more than you know. We’re asking from the heart — we’re asking from gratitude. Grateful for the life Rob has lived. Grateful for every single person who’s crossed his path. Grateful for the power of love and community in times like these. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for showing up. ---The De Leon Family

Special Notes

Many people love to cook and want to offer meals. We are grateful for the generosity and happy to accept if the meals fall into these guidelines: No red meat, no sugar, no starch (white potatoes, bread, rice).
