Hi. My name is Carrie. I'm 56 and live with my 10 rescue cats. My immediate family lives in another state and therefore is unable to assist me so I'm reaching out for help in this manner after several attempts and searches for free meal delivery services as I can no longer open cans by myself or manage preparing foods that I used to be able to. Unless the can has a peel off top. Otherwise I'm forced to just sit and look at the stacked cans in the cupboard. Unable to feed myself. It's very frustrating and hopeless. The struggle is real. I'm in need of groceries I can prepare myself. Even though I applied for disability benefits. They cut the amount by $200. So I can barely manage my rent at this point. Before my stroke I ran a small rescue for kittens and cats who needed saving or bottle fed. Im struggling to feed them now and it breaks my heart because my commitment to them was to ensure they lived a better life here rather than outside with threats like cars, coyotes and starvation. I love them deeply and am not about to give up just yet. I'm forced to reach out to others in hopes that I may find a little relief for my situation. For their benefit as well. Ee are all so hungry over here and I'm also unable to afford the adult diapers and wipes I now require. If anyone is able to provide a gift card for groceries so we can get through this challenging time....
