Emotional support for Paige re: Surgery

Huntsville, AL

Story

Cataract surgery Left Eye Updated by Paige Martin Hi Everyone, My therapist shared this website with me as a tool to use as a single person who is scheduled for surgery, so that I may ask friends and family for specific support in different areas before during and after the surgery. Navigating medical care is becoming more difficult as I age as a single person, and as a person who lives with ADHD and is autistic. I have had to discontinue ADHD medication that's contraindicated for part of my eye situation but can go back on it after surgery. It is quite a complex situation and causes a great amount of stress. I will outline what I think I need help with and ask for your support over the following weeks. Requests Short Phone calls, drop bys, or texts just to check in on well being and to see if anything is needed. (organizational skills are not optimal at the moment!) Comedic social media via texts, Messenger, or email. Or you can help entertain me with your wit by phone ๐Ÿ˜† Help keeping dishes loaded and unloaded Scheduled In person brief visits Possible Meetups or at home Any help with meals, doordash, grocery runs for incidental, pharmacy runs etc. Mostly emotional support while being off med and getting back on while dealing with delicate surgerical procedures. (My Right eye cataract surgery did not go well ๐Ÿ‘€) I have begun to notice that seeing or talking to a live person is one of the greatest healers ๐Ÿ’• I am so thankful for you who have supported me through the years. Thank you again for lending another hand ๐ŸŒท Best to you and yours! Paige
