Support Soizic’s Cancer Journey

Story

My name is Soizic, and I’m a mother and educator. For more than twenty years, I’ve taught French, science, and mathematics while raising my daughter and building educational projects that help people learn. I earned a degree in Plant Biology from UC Davis, started my own tutoring business, and recently launched an online French school. Teaching has never just been my profession—it’s how I contribute to the world. Life has required me to rebuild more than once. In 2015, I lost my home and years of creative work in a wildfire. Later, I found myself raising my daughter largely on my own. Each challenge forced me to start over, and each time I did my best to create stability, opportunity, and joy for my family. Recently, I was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma. While this type of lymphoma is often treatable, the reality is that treatment, testing, appointments, and symptoms such as fatigue and pain have made it difficult to work at the level I normally would. I am creating this fundraiser to help cover medical expenses, transportation, childcare, healthy meals, and everyday living costs while I focus on treatment and recovery. Any support will allow me to spend less time worrying about finances and more time taking care of my health and being present for my daughter. If you are able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing this page is equally appreciated. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than I can express. With gratitude, Soizic
