In April, I was diagnosed with lymphoma and now in a July me know it is a widespread nodular advanced stage follicular lymphoma stage IV. While this type of lymphoma is often treatable, results vary, and it is not curable (yet!) - my current reality is that treatment, testing, appointments, and symptoms such as fatigue and pain have made it difficult to work at the level I normally would. After becoming a solo parent a year and a half ago - I barely picked myself up from the last mission. Well, I suppose plans change. Infusions started on 6/24 - and I’m expecting to first - get disease in remission then once that’s covered - then I can get maintenance treatments for 2 years - and if it stays in remission after 5 years then I get less frequent testing or maintenance chemo which would allow me to eventually travel. But when it does come back, I expect there will be amazing therapies available to cure it. That’s my positive thinking for the day but I also know there is a dark side to this disease where it can come back after treatments and it likes to transform into its more aggressive B cell lymphomas. More good news: Super grateful for the support for childcare during this round of chemo that ended up working out. Keeping Anaïse safe and happy is my number one priority. Thank you Anaïse’s grandparents for stepping up! Frustrating news: Disability insurance is not a fast thing sadly. I am creating this fundraiser to help cover transportation, healthy meals, and everyday living costs - while I focus on treatment and recovery. Any support will allow me to spend less time worrying about finances and more time taking care of my health and being present for my daughter. If you are able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing this page is equally appreciated. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than I can express. With gratitude, Soizic
Thank you everyone for sticking with me. Love you.
