Support Soizic’s Cancer Journey

Story

About to start third round of chemo-immunotherapy. In April, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma - a widespread advanced stage follicular lymphoma stage IV - which explained the pain I was getting in my bones at the time of diagnosis along with other weird symptoms. Infusions started on 6/24 - and the first goal is remission - then maintenance treatments for 2 years - and if it stays in remission after 5 years then I get less frequent testing or maintenance chemo which would allow me to eventually travel to see my family abroad. That’s my positive thinking for the day but I also know there is a dark side to this disease where it can come back after treatments and it likes to transform into its more aggressive B cell lymphomas. It has taken me some time to accept my limitations but I can see that this is my new reality. I am talking the steps to try to work out some long term plans - but right now I really need to focus on surviving chemo and cancer first. I am creating this fundraiser to help cover transportation, meals, and everyday living costs - while I focus on treatment and recovery. I am beyond exhausted and very sick so working isn’t an option right now and disability has not come through - though I’m still trying. If you are able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing this page is equally appreciated. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than I can express. With gratitude, Soizic
