Supporting The Hevener Family ❤️ Sweet baby Everett has arrived, and while his family is overjoyed to finally have him here, they are now facing a challenging journey. Everett has been diagnosed with a congenital birth defect called atresia, which has caused an obstruction in his bowel. He is expected to undergo surgery Monday or Tuesday to repair his bowel, followed by what will likely be a lengthy hospital stay. Doctors have warned the family that he could potentially remain in the hospital for up to three months as he heals and learns to eat and grow. Right now, Beth is spending her days and nights at the hospital by Everett’s side, while Tom is home caring for their 4-year-old, Remington or she is staying with her aunt Savannah. With Everett’s hospitalization, their family is facing not only the emotional weight of having a newborn undergoing surgery, but also the everyday expenses that come with being separated between home and the hospital—gas for traveling back and forth, meals on the go, groceries, and all of the unexpected costs that can add up during a long hospital stay. We created this page as a simple way for family, friends, and anyone who would like to help ease some of that burden.
