In January, Benjy was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer that has metastasized to his liver. He has already undergone eight treatments of chemotherapy, followed by a liver ablation surgery. He is now undergoing six weeks of targeted radiation with chemotherapy pills. Once that is complete, he will undergo three more surgeries that will require four to six months of recovery. Due to the treatments and surgeries, Benjy will miss out on being able to work most of the year.
