Story
Hello Friends, Last Tuesday Linda High had knee surgery at Moses Cone. About a year ago she had the first knee replaced at Duke and had a good experience, mainly because she was discharged to a rehab facility for a few weeks. This time Linda's story is not a good one. She decided to stay closer to home and use a local doctor...who REFUSED to order rehab for her. She was allowed to stay an extra two days in the hospital before being discharged to her home. Linda is in severe pain and cannot manage much for herself. For a few days Linda had a good friend stay with her to help her move around more easily, to help around the house and to prepare food. That friend left yesterday. Linda's son and family do as much as they can for her, but they are all working. Tim was over today and handled some household items for her. For the greater part of the day Linda is alone. She needs help with meals. Because Linda lives alone it is best to deliver a one-person meal with no leftovers for her to have to wrap up or freeze. Linda has no dietary restrictions. She will likely need this help most every day for a couple weeks. If there are gaps her children will be able to fill in. Thank you for answering this call to help our friend and Holy Trinity member. God bless, Linda Snow
