Low sodium meal train for Oakley surgery and recovery!

Story

Many of you know that our son, Oakley, is scheduled to receive a life-changing kidney transplant on June 23rd. His mom will be donating her kidney to him, and while we are incredibly thankful and excited for this opportunity, the weeks ahead are going to be challenging for our family. During surgery, recovery, and the time spent at the hospital, both of Oakley’s parents will be away from home much of the time. With 4 adults and 3 children in the households between both parents, preparing meals will be difficult while we focus on caring for Oakley and helping both him and his mom recover. Because of this, we are starting a Meal Train to help ease some of the burden during this important time. We kindly ask for meals that are kidney-friendly and suitable for a family. Every meal, gift card, prayer, share, and act of kindness means more to us than words can express. This journey has shown us just how blessed we are to be surrounded by such an amazing community. The love, support, prayers, and encouragement we have received have carried us through some of our toughest days, and we are forever grateful. Most importantly, we ask that you continue to keep Oakley and his mom in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare for surgery and recovery. We are hopeful, thankful, and looking forward to a healthier future for our little boy. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our family during this time. We could not do this alone. ❤️
