Love for Maura and the Fried Family

W
Story

❤️ Let’s Love on Maura! ❤️ My sweet and long time friend Maura is in the middle of a difficult battle with stage 3C breast cancer. She’s been facing so much with incredible strength, and on October 24th, she’ll be undergoing a major surgery. For those of us who know the Fried family, you know they are the 1st people to help anyone out. They have the biggest hearts. And this diagnosis has rocked their family. A little about Maura, she is a wonderful mom of 4 kiddos. Her only daughter Lilian tragically passed from battling Leukemia at a young age. Her boys, Bryson, Kayden, and Tyler are all so sweet and special in their own ways and the love they have for their mom is HUGE. The love story between Maura and Brandon is one told in Fairytales. I feel like God puts the right people in our lives right when we need them most. I have been blessed to have a front row seat at how their love continues to grow for each other like school crushes. When Brandon had a medical emergency years ago, Maura was there to do whatever she could for her love. Now Brandon is getting to be there for her as she battles this horrible cancer. And we already declare victory over her body! Nothing is too big for our God! As her friends, family, and community, we have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help carry some of the weight during this season. 🍽️ MEAL TRAIN I’m organizing meals for Maura and her family of three so that cooking dinner is one less thing they have to worry about while she recovers. They aren’t picky eaters and enjoy just about everything! The only request is that all meals be gluten-free. Whether it’s a homemade dinner, takeout, or a restaurant gift card, every little bit helps. It’s not about fancy meals. It’s about showing up and loving on this family. I will say, having known them for quite a while, Mexican food is a household favorite. Tacos Palenque And In N Out :) 🙏 PRAYER NIGHT I’m also looking for prayer warriors who would be willing to come together on Friday evening, October 23rd, to surround Maura in prayer before her surgery. We believe in the power of prayer, and I would love nothing more than for her to walk into that operating room knowing she is deeply loved, supported, and covered in prayer. We’re praying boldly for healing, peace, strength, wisdom for her medical team, and complete restoration. If you’d like to provide a meal or join us in prayer, please reach out to me! You don’t have to have the perfect words or know exactly what to do. Sometimes just showing up is the greatest gift we can give someone. Let’s remind Maura that she doesn’t have to fight this battle alone. ❤️ “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
