Evan & Debbie Weiss Cancer Surgery Recover

Sanford, FL

W
Story

Hi friends & Family- in January 2026 we learned that my dad (Evan Weiss) had muscular bladder cancer (the equivalent to stage 4 cancer). It was a scary shock to all of us. He has a slew of other health problems; from Alzheimer’s to needing shoulder surgery— but this now trumped all that. CANCER. A dreaded word. We were worried his body would not handle Chemotherapy, but with Gods grace he completed all 8 rounds! As well as 8 rounds of immunotherapy. *Friday May 22 he will be having a 7+ hour surgery to (prayfully) removal all the cancer. He will be having his bladder and prostate removed completely. They are saying it is around 4-5 months of recovery time, so my mom has taken FMLA to be at home with him.* It would be most helpful for all of us to have easy to reheat dinners for the first few weeks for my mom, myself, my brother and DJ as we navigate someone always being at the hospital with him, and then his recovery once he’s home. Obviously continued prays is the biggest thing! If you have any questions or want to help in a different way we can definitely use it- (Gas is expensive everywhere and it’s around a 40 minute drive 1 way) please reach out to me (Nicole). Email: [email protected] or message me on fb or leave a message here asking me to reach out to you! God is always in the business of MIRACLES and we know He will get us through this! 💙 We are so grateful for each of you! 💙💙

Special Notes

I will post an update here and on Facebook when he is ready to talk. You are welcome to message him on Facebook, but please do not call him until he is back home and I have updated everyone that he’s ready! Meals: Were simple, so anything! No nuts please. Nothing really spicy.
