Story
Sweet Sharlene will be recovering from a hysterectomy after Thursday, March 12, and she needs our help. Typically independent, Sharlene is usually on the helping end of calls for help. A frequent singer with the Kitchen Table Singers, and a champion for Peace and Justice, this time, she needs us. -For food. -For companionship. -For helping her plant her dye garden in a few weeks. (She can't lift anything. But she CAN talk you through it.) Sign up here if you can make some food and deliver it to her home in Cresco. Here's her address: 611 Seventh Avenue, #E, Cresco, Iowa. If you can cook, but cannot deliver, please email [email protected]. If I can find a driver for your food, I'll let you know. BUT, since visitors will be half the gift of the food you're making, please consider self-delivery.
Special Notes
Our Sharlene is a good eater. She said that there's nothing she won't eat gratefully. She lives alone, so a meal that can be eaten over several meal periods would be terrific, but if it won't keep for the period of time it would take her to eat it, maybe send a little less. She's also up for snacks and fancy coffee if you want to bring her a treat from the outside world. On behalf of Sharlene, thank you for supporting one of the most deserving people ever.
