Limbless Lissie…Ways to help me whilst I get back on 2 arms/shoulders

W
Story

I had my left total shoulder replacement on 4th June and my post-op care plan has been somewhat thrown out of the window due to a significantly elongated hospital stay that ended up at 2 full weeks. It’s also complicated by not being able to go and stay with my closest family, my big sister, because of treatment she’s having that means she has to isolate for exactly the period I am recovering. I HATE asking for help and much prefer being the one to support others but circumstances have left me a little stranded at home, about 3 miles outside Wellington with both my left arm fully strapped up and useless and trying hard not to let my hardly fought recovery from several mental health challenges to slip back. This means I want to keep up with as much singing as possible and end of term events at Wellington School where I volunteer in various capacities. I also get fantastic support from my GP so getting to face to face appointments with her at the Welly Med Centre is key to my recovery.

Special Notes

I’m trying to lose weight so I don’t really need food, but would love drop ins for a cuppa with a little notice (so I’m not sulking in bed when you arrive), alongside lifts to and from any of the scheduled things I’ve listed on this page.
