Ashley and Cass lost Cass's mom, Deb, this week. Ashley and Cass have two little boys — Carter and Lewis — and a house that still needs breakfast made and questions answered, no matter what else is happening in it. Cass's dad lost his wife. Cass's brother and his wife lost her too. That's a lot of people hurting at once, and none of them have the bandwidth to tell us what they need. So this page is gift cards only. No schedule, no coordinating, nothing for the family to manage or reply to. You send what you can, they use it when they're ready — groceries, takeout, gas, a cleaning, whatever the day requires. One thing worth saying: send them later, too. The hardest stretch usually isn't this week — it's six weeks from now, when the food has stopped coming and everyone else has gone back to their lives.
