Show Your Love and Support for BEV!

Story

Our dear friend Bev has been on a long and incredibly difficult road with cancer, and we now have some important answers. The pathology results are in: **Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer.** There is, however, an important piece of hopeful news. Bev’s tumor tested positive for DMMR (deficient mismatch repair). In simple terms, the cancer cells have a broken “spell-check” system that normally catches and repairs mistakes when DNA is copied. This characteristic can also mean that the tumor is **particularly responsive to immunotherapy**. Beginning in September, Bev and her medical team are bringing out the big guns with an **aggressive immunotherapy treatment plan**. We are holding tightly to hope and praying that this treatment gives Bev the strongest possible chance in the fight ahead. Through this incredibly difficult journey, Bev has continued to amaze us with her attitude, her strength, and her positivity. She has been a true ray of sunshine, continuing to work tirelessly and give so much of herself even while facing more than anyone should have to endure. She continues to find reasons to smile, encourage others, and remain positive. That is just who Bev is. She is a blessing to everyone who knows her, and she has touched so many lives with her kindness, warmth, generosity, and beautiful spirit. Now it is our turn to surround her with that same love and light. Right now, Bev needs our love, prayers, encouragement, and support more than ever.❤️ One simple and meaningful way we can help is by taking something off their plates — literally. We have created a Meal Train for Bev and her family. If you are able, please sign up to provide a meal on a designated date and time. Whether you cook something, order takeout, or have a meal delivered, it is one less thing for them to worry about during an incredibly difficult time. **Fiona is out doing what she needs to do for her family right now, working hard and running their business full-time.** With everything she is carrying, having meals taken care of will give her a little more time and space to be there for her mom and focus on what matters most. Please consider signing up for a meal, sharing the Meal Train with others who love Bev, or simply sending Bev and her family a message of love and encouragement. Every act of kindness, every meal, every prayer, and every bit of support means more than you know. Bev, we love you. We’re standing beside you, and we’re not going anywhere. You have been a light to so many of us — now let us be a little light for you. One day, one treatment, one step at a time. ❤️

Special Notes

**A Note About Bev’s Meals ❤️** To help keep meals comfortable and easy for Bev, please keep her current food restrictions in mind. **No raw vegetables, no tough red meats (such as steak or lamb), and nothing spicy.** Soft, easy-to-eat foods are best. Thank you so much for helping nourish and care for Bev during this time. Every meal is a beautiful reminder that she is surrounded by people who love her. ❤️
