Justine has been fighting a battle no one should have to fight in the first place. Being a single working mother is hard enough but Justine had been given an impossible hurdle, a cancer diagnosis. She has been fighting so hard but cancer has no mercy. She is now in late stages and facing the hardest prognosis. But she's not giving up, she's still here and still fighting to stay for her daughters, for herself and for the people she loves. She needs the community to make it happen. Justine has very little energy and no ability to cook for herself due to the ravages of cancer and chemo. That is why I made this mealtrain. If the community surrounds this woman and her family with whatever help we can provide, we can share the burden she bares. We can make her battle our battle and give food and comfort to someone who needs it and has been a loving member of our community here in whatcom county. Please read the restrictions list below. She just has a few things she cannot have due to oral sensitivity and the like. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help, or share this with others so we can make Justine more comfortable and help her family and close friends with the care of at least good, yummy meals. Breaking bread, feeding the need all these things are so important and we thank you so much for your participation in community support.
No Mushrooms, No raw tomatoes, Nothing spicy (flavors spices good, hot spices bad for chemo mouth.) Nothing too acidic (same reason as above)
