Hi! I'm MaryJane. Julian and I have been together for 8 years. Together we have a blended family of 8 children: 6 girls and 2 boys. They are Samantha, Esperanza, Samara, Isabel, Laine, Micaela, John-Hayden, and Julian Jr. In 2012, our kids nicknamed us the "GR Crew." We also have 3 dogs: Chester, Aura & Onyx, 2 cats: Sissy & Quinn, 2 guinea pigs: Benny & Billy, and last, a geico named Sunflower. YES, talk about a full house!!!

April 20, 2017, Isabel was diagnosed with high risk, Stage 4 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, just ten days before her 13th birthday.  She completed a full treatment cycle of chemo on August 14, 2018, and radiation on October 5, 2018, only to relapse 3 months later. February 7, 2019, one month after the discovery and biopsy of a "lump," she began a different combination of chemo. Although she showed to be in remission on April 20, 2019, she continued the chemo regimen she was on per protocol. On September 19, our worst fear came true. She relapsed, AGAIN!!!

From the beginning, we both continued to work full-time. Even though switching off days, lunch hours, sick days, etc. was difficult, we tried so hard to maintain normalcy in our home. Unfortunately, we came to the decision for me to step away from my career, so I could better care for Isabel and our family. This decision didn’t come lightly. I was there a little over three years, and they were so extremely accommodating and good to us.

This brings us to a place that we need to ask for help. As of right now, we are left with only Julian’s income. Our families have also helped us tremendously, but they have lives outside of our little family.
