Melissa’s Miracle

East Longmeadow, MA

Story

Recently, my dear cousin Melissa received news that would shake any mother, sister, daughter, or friend to her core. Initially diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Melissa sought a second opinion—praise be to God—and it was clarified that she has stage 4 Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), a rare cancer of the bile ducts inside the liver. While this diagnosis remains serious, it has allowed her medical team to focus more precisely on a treatment plan that offers hope and direction. Melissa will be undergoing chemotherapy and additional treatments, including surgery down the road. As many of you can imagine, these treatments will bring physical exhaustion, emotional fatigue, and a range of side effects that will make everyday tasks especially caring for her two beautiful children much more difficult. Melissa has always been the one to show up with love, with strength, with warmth for others. Now, it’s our turn to surround her with that same strength and love. We are organizing a support effort to help relieve some of Melissa’s daily responsibilities, including meals, home care, lawn care, errands, and more so she can focus fully on healing and spending meaningful time with her children. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND HER TREATMENT PLAN, WE KINDLY ASK THAT NO HOME COOKED MEALS BE PROVIDED AT THIS TIME. Instead, we’re coordinating deliveries from safe food providers, grocery gift cards, services she already uses, and care packages to lift the spirits of both Melissa and her kids during this incredibly overwhelming time. We've also included items and activities for her children, to bring them joy and comfort while their world is shifting. We believe in a God who heals. He is the Miracle Worker. He is the Great Physician. “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17 Please continue to pray boldly for Melissa for strength, for comfort, and for healing. May God surround her with peace, uplift her spirit, and touch every cell of her body with divine restoration. GOD IS GOOD, and His hand is over Melissa, her medical team, and this journey ahead. Thank you for joining us in being the hands and feet of Jesus as we walk alongside Melissa during this time. With love and faith, Melissa's Family

Special Notes

Important Note Regarding Meal Deliveries for Melissa If you are unable to get in touch with Melissa directly to confirm her food preferences, please feel free to reach out to one of her family members via phone, email, or messenger. They will be happy to assist and ensure that any deliveries are coordinated appropriately. Please note: Due to dietary restrictions during treatment, we kindly ask that no home-cooked meals be provided. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated. Most importantly, we ask that you continue to lift Melissa up in prayer during this time. God is our great Healer and Physician, and we trust in His perfect care. "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord." Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV) Thank you for your love, support, and continued prayers.
