CASA for Douglas County's mission is to train, empower, and inspire Volunteer Advocates to make a lasting difference in the lives of children impacted by the child welfare system due to abuse and/or neglect. Empowering Volunteer Advocates ensures children involved in the child welfare system have a dedicated, passionate, and powerful voice advocating for their best interests. CASA stands up for children and holds out hope for safe, loving, and permanent homes while providing critical and transformative resources, recommendations, and solutions. There are many ways our community can support the children we serve beyond becoming a CASA Volunteer Advocate. The items and gift cards on this page help us provide children and teens with things they need throughout the year, as well as gifts and special items during milestone events, birthdays and holidays. Thank you for helping us make sure the children we serve know that their community cares about them!
Thank you for supporting CASA for Douglas County! Our greatest needs change throughout the year, so we regularly update this page. HOLIDAY NEEDS Our greatest current need is gift cards in $25-$30 amounts. These are especially helpful during the holiday season because they allow us to provide children and teens with gifts that fit their individual interests and needs. EVERYDAY NEEDS Throughout the year, Project Hope Pack has an ongoing need for hygiene, comfort and other items for children impacted by the child welfare system. These needs can be found on our Amazon Wishlist. MILESTONES, BIRTHDAYS & CELEBRATIONS Throughout the year, CASA may also have specific gift requests for birthdays, milestones and other special occasions. Check back here for current needs!
