Today I’m sharing something I never imagined having to write. My dad was recently diagnosed with AML - (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), and our world has been shaken in a way that still doesn’t feel real. One moment we were living ordinary life, and the next we were hearing the kind of news that changes everything. It all happened so fast. We’re still trying to catch up to the reality of it all, but right now our only focus is getting him the care, treatment, and strength he needs to fight with everything he has. Because he can’t work during treatment, and because Laura, his wife, will be missing significant amounts of work to sit beside him, advocate for him, and make sure he never faces a single appointment alone - any funds received will go directly toward the things that keep him steady in the middle of this storm. That includes: • Medical bills, treatments, and medications • Travel costs and meals for Laura as she goes back and forth to Omaha • Household bills and living expenses while he’s unable to work • Lost income for Laura as she misses significant amounts of work. • Any urgent or unexpected needs that come up as his treatment continues Every dollar will go exactly where it’s needed — to help my dad fight for his life with dignity, stability, and the comfort of knowing he is surrounded by people who refuse to let him fight alone.
