With a full and thankful heart, I’m excited to share that Kaitlyn will officially become part of the Johnson-York family. This has been a long journey—nearly a decade of fostering, challenges, and perseverance. I first became a foster parent in 2016, and through many placements and moments of uncertainty, our family was slowly shaped. When Kaitlyn came to live with us, life changed in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Not long after, I found myself navigating parenthood on my own. Over the past three years, Kaitlyn, Evan, and I have built a loving home together, and now adoption makes that bond official. We are deeply thankful for the case workers, friends, and family whose support and encouragement made this possible. Many of you have asked how you can support us in this new chapter—your gifts, contributions, and kind words are all received with heartfelt gratitude as we continue to grow together as a family.
