As many of you know, Erin and Debbie started what was supposed to be a routine home renovation, just in time to prepare their space for the baby’s arrival. Unfortunately, what began as an exciting “nesting” project has taken a drastic turn. What was originally planned as a short and manageable upgrade has now become months of delays, additional unexpected costs, and, most challenging of all, the complete loss of their kitchen during Erin’s entire third trimester. They are currently without a sink, an oven, or any functional kitchen space so preparing food has become nearly impossible. With Erin nearing the end of her pregnancy, proper meals, rest, and reduced stress is most crucial. This is where our community can make a difference. To help ease their load, we’ve set up a Meal Support. You can help in any of the following ways: 1. Drop off a prepared meal: homemade or store-bought, preferably something that reheats easily with small appliances. Please no nuts: due to allergies, all meals must be nut-free. 2. Send a gift card: DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, GrubHub, or local restaurants are incredibly helpful. 3. Donate cold hard cash through the support links - Care Card will collect all our money donations and allow them to link them to whatever gift cards they want or send money directly to them via Venmo. We’ve set up a central space to coordinate meal drop-offs, avoid overlap, and provide steady support throughout this time. Whether it’s a single meal, a gift card, or a note of encouragement, every contribution matters and is deeply appreciated. Let’s surround Erin and Debbie with care and nourishment as they navigate a stressful renovation, financial strain, and the final stretch before welcoming their baby without the one room that makes a house feel like a home. Thank you for showing up for them during this time 💛
