Julie and Keith are parents of two young children, Phoebe (4) and Everett (2). They own two businesses together. Julie had been managing operations for the businesses while Keith runs the craft and art skills for the welding. Recently, Julie has been diagnosed with Biliary duct cancer. This is a rare form of cancer that is leading Julie to need not only chemo therapy and radiation, but also a liver transplant. Since her diagnosis, Julie has been in and out of the hospital. Life has been unpredictable and challenging; especially with two little ones to look after and a business to run. While undergoing so many treatments and facing uncertainty, Julie is unable to continue managing the operations of the business and being the primary parent who is in charge school transportation and day care. She and her husband have had to hire extra help to take care of these tasks, while also facing steadily increasing medical bills. As a classroom community we are rallying together to help ease the stress of this journey for this family.
