I had a kidney removed due to cancer in 2012. In August 2024 the cancer was found to have metastisized to my right femur. Just like that, I had stage 4 cancer. There is no cure, but there is management. Sometimes, NED is achieved - no evidence of disease. Oh happy day. But you always continue having quarterly scans or tests done. Where am I now and what do I want? I'm not the same as I was before my Stage 4 diagnosis. I have extreme pain in my right leg that pretty rules the day. I've developed drop foot in my right foot. Now that is weird condion. My foot is swollen and what feeling in the foot is hard to describe. Sometimes it feels as if your foot is wrapped in a towel. Other times you'd swear someone had attached metal rods to the bottom of your foot. And there is cure either. It could go away on its own. For my leg and foot issues, I am in a walker at all times when I'm home and usually a wheelchair when I'm out to the doctor's office. Did I mention that I can't drive? I also can't cook, or do laundry, or climb stairs, or run a
