Kindness and Generosity for Lindsay

Memphis, TN

Story

Following a tumultuous two-year period, I initiated short-term disability on September 9 to focus on my mental health and rebuild my life. Although dually diagnosed, my primary motivation was addressing my mental well-being. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive payment from my insurance. I have achieved 140 days of sobriety. I am sharing this background information to provide context for my current situation and upcoming requests for assistance, which I find challenging to make. Around this time last year, I experienced a severe crisis, having consumed vodka and pills with suicidal intentions. Fortunately, intervention from family and emergency services prevented harm. After my marriage ended in March, I again struggled with suicidal thoughts, despite maintaining sobriety. Now, facing financial uncertainty with an impending return to work on November 1 and minimal payment from my short-term disability, I must humbly seek help. I am asking if you are able to give $1 that will count as every dollar adds up. Thanks to anyone that’s willing and able to help. With and abundance of love, Lindsay 💞

Special Notes

I give special thanks to my employer for giving me the time to do this. 💞
