Dear friends, family, and community, Many of you have reached out asking how you can help, and after much thought, our family has created this fundraiser to support Tracey and her children as they face one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. Tracey recently experienced a devastating medical emergency while visiting her daughter, Jaimee, in Arizona and is currently receiving care there. While her recovery journey is still unfolding, it has become clear that she will need to remain in Arizona for an extended period of time to receive the medical treatment, extensive rehabilitation, and follow-up care she needs. This unexpected situation has turned life upside down for the entire family: In Arizona: Jaimee is doing everything she can to advocate for her mom, coordinate her care, communicate with medical providers, and arrange housing so Tracey can be close to the care she needs, wherever that ends up being. She is navigating this crisis far from home and her own support system, with limited local resources, while carrying the emotional and financial weight of being there for her mom. In Wisconsin: Tracey’s son, Josh, remains at home facing the same emotional weight and uncertainty while managing everything Tracey had to leave behind. He is caring for her horses and dogs, maintaining her home and property, and taking on the countless responsibilities that come with suddenly having to put his mom’s life on hold. Together, Jaimee and Josh are doing everything they can from opposite sides of the country to keep everything afloat while Tracey focuses on healing. Tracey is a devoted and selfless mother who has always gone above and beyond for her children and the people she loves, often putting others before herself. Now, her family is doing everything we can to give her the same love and support she has always so freely given to others. How Your Donations Will Help The financial strain of managing an out-of-state emergency is overwhelming. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Jaimee and Josh support their mom and keep her affairs stable: Medical & Rehabilitation Care: Deductibles, out-of-pocket hospital costs, and post-acute rehabilitation expenses incurred out of state. Emergency Lodging & Travel: Hotel stays, gas, flights, and daily essential expenses for family members staying in Arizona to coordinate her care. Medical Transport Home: Safe medical transport to eventually bring Tracey back home to Wisconsin once stable. Caregiving & Logistics Support: Offsetting caregiving expenses and essential travel costs while her children take time away from work to support her. Property & Pet Maintenance: Feed, veterinary care, and upkeep for Tracey’s horses and dogs, as well as maintaining her home and property in Wisconsin. Ongoing Household Maintenance: Essential costs required to keep her affairs and household stable while she is hospitalized away from home.
